REMINDERS:

  • RSVP for each meet NO LATER THAN 11:00am two days prior to the event!
  • Meets begin at 6:00pm and generally run 3 to 3 ½ hours
  • For home meets, arrive by 5:00pm for warmups and preparations; 5:30pm for away meets
  • Wear comfortable sandals that can get WET (especially if you are a timer)
  • There are many people so label all your items
  • Dress for the elements: wind, sun, cool temperatures at sunset
  • Ribbons are given for 1st through 6th place in individual events and 1st place in relays. Heat Winner ribbons are given at some meets to the 1st place finisher in each heat.
  • Swimmers must be responsible and listen to the Announcer.They must stay in the Bull Pen area until their event is called, at which time the Bull Pen volunteers will take them to the Clerk of Course.The Clerk of Course will line up swimmers for their events.
  • Swimmers must be responsible for being at the clerk of course for their events.
  • Understand that as swimmers are learning strokes, they may be disqualified (DQ'd) based on technical mistakes.All swimmers will experience being DQ’d in their career.Offer support and encouragement – and get ready for their next event!
