Visiting Teams Info

Since not all of the teams in SOSL use SwimTopia yet, we figured we'd put together some helpful information for our visitors on how to prepare for meets at Cassel Hills!

Meet Files

Even though we use SwimTopia and Meet Maestro for our swim meets, we still upload the same exports that you're used to providing if you are on Hy-Tek, Team Unify, or any other system for managing your team. Send your exported event entries to [email protected] no later than 9pm the day before the meet.

Of course, if you're also a SwimTopia team, just ask us for the meet code so you can link in to it!

Running the Meet

One of the benefits to running our meets using Meet Maestro is that it allows us to seamlessly merge event heats together to speed up the meet. Since we don't have lights at our pool, this is very helpful in ensuring that we can get through all of the events before it gets too dark. When we receive your meet entries, we upload them into the event, and then it will merge event entries into combined heats where it can to save on time! So be aware that you may see some events where it will look like boys and girls may be swimming against each other, but in reality, that is not the case; they're just swimming their heats in the pool at the same time, and their times are only compared against other swimmers in the same event.

Pool Location

Our pool is located at 1061 Taylorsview Drive, Vandalia, OH 45377. We have an ample-sized parking lot, but there is also plenty of street parking in front of the property and nearby. We are located on a residential street, so there is minimal traffic to be concerned about.

The home team area is to the north of the pool and bullpen area. The visiting team area is to the east and south of the pool and bullpen area. See the crudely-drawn map below for details:

Other Important Info

We do not print heat sheets nor charge for them; once we have finished meet setup, we will forward them on to you via email for you to distribute to your families as desired. We do provide printed copies for coaches as well as volunteers whose positions require them.

We do not provide stopwatches for visiting teams' timing volunteers.

Questions/Contact

If you have any questions, please use our Contact form, as it goes to the team email address, which is monitored throughout the day most days. For security reasons, we don't post any board members' phone numbers on the website, but we will call you back to answer your urgent questions if you provide us a phone number in your message.
